Donna Cook is currently the Information Services Director for Access Health Services, LLC. Ms. Cook has extensive knowledge in the data management and information technology area as it applies to health care. Prior to working with Access Health, she worked as the Data Manager for an alliance of Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans. Her responsibilities included annual Part C and D, HEDIS, CMS Audit Universes, other federal and state-mandated, and general plan reporting. She also managed the data validation process for both Part C and D and HEDIS programs working closely with the quality team and contracted vendors for these functions. Ms. Cook’s efforts ensured that all four plans passed the Part C and D Data Validation audits with scores over 97%.
Ms. Cook has over 19 years of experience dealing with the technical aspects of health care including Medicaid, Medicare, and commercial health insurance. Ms. Cook has worked as an IT Project Manager with several large-scale health management systems implementations including the Arkansas Medicaid eligibility system (ACES), the Arkansas State and Public School Insurance management system (ARBenefits), and the Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans’ administrative system (SNP-Net) currently in use in four (4) states. She was the primary technical architect of the Utilization Management module and Reporting systems for SNP-Net.
Ms. Cook also obtained her Professional Academy of Healthcare Management (PAHM) in 2006 to strengthen her efforts to support health-related systems.
